Rasheed and Josh participated in the 2010 Summer Cypress Open (2010-06-13)
Josh and Rasheed earned 1st place and 2nd place, respectively, in the Teen category, overcoming the challenges of students from other schools including Yine-Yan Wang of Monterey High, the 3rd place winner. Josh also made it to the semi-finals in the Adult Intermediate category and earned 4th place (see also the York Blog).
Rasheed and Josh participated in the 2010 Western Open (2010-02-20)
Josh advanced to the playoff round at the 2010 Joola North American Tour starts on February 20~21 at the Recreational Sports Facility, UC Berkeley (2301 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94720).
Rasheed and Josh worked for the ping pong clinic (Winter 2009-2010)
Josh and Rasheed volunteered to teach young children how to play table tennis at the Monterey County Table Tennis Club.

Josh participated in the 2009 Berkeley Open (2009-09-05~06)
Another tournament was held during the labor day weekend at the Recreational Sports Facility, UC Berkeley (2301 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94720). Josh played in U-800, but narrowly missed advancing to the next round with the 3-way tie among 3 players.
Josh participated in the 2009 Sacramento Summer Open (2009-08-22)
Josh, along with his Dad and several Monterey County Table Tennis Club members, participiated in the tournament. The Round Robin was held Saturday August 22 at Folsom Sports Complex.
Josh participated in the Newgy Northern California Fall Open (2008-10-05)
Josh competed at the Newgy Northern California Open held at UC Berkeley. Josh won the first round group for U600 (3-0), but couldn't advance due to the USATT rule for unrated player. He also entered U800 and recorded 1-1.
Josh attended a Table Tennis Summer Camp (2008-07-14~25)
Josh received training at the summer camp coached by the World Champions Table Tennis Coaching Team at the Top Spin Club in Santa Clara for two weeks.
